Pilsner Project: Saphir Hops review by Leahfrosceno
A favorite in our house! Tried in the tap room and bought cans to go. It's light and crisp but full of flavor and well balanced.

There's something special about a beer that doesn't need gimmicks to make an impression. East Rock's Pilsner is proof that when exceptional ingredients meet precise brewing, simplicity can be spectacular. It pours a brilliant pale gold with a crisp white head, setting the stage for an inviting aroma of fresh grain, delicate florals, herbs, and that unmistakable noble-hop spice. The first sip is beautifully clean and refreshing. A soft, slightly sweet malt backbone brings notes of fresh bread and cracker before giving way to an assertive but elegant hop character. Floral, herbal, lightly spicy, and pleasantly bitter, the hops provide enough bite to keep the beer interesting without overwhelming the malt underneath. The finish is dry, crisp, and exceptionally clean, with a lingering noble-hop bitterness that practically demands another sip. What makes this Pilsner stand out is its balance. At 5.2% ABV, it has enough body and malt character to feel substantial while remaining remarkably refreshing and drinkable. Nothing is out of place. Nothing is trying too hard. Sometimes the hardest beer to brew is the one with nowhere for mistakes to hide. East Rock nailed it.

East Rock has slowly but surely crept into my array of go-to beers. The new Kolsch is awesome. The citrus notes are nice and subtle, and adds an extra hint of bright zest to an already refreshing beer. Have you guys considered tall boy sales? This would be a great one to pilot!

This is the beer I have been searching for. Just regular lager but better and more complex. In a world of IPA's, this is a courageous, delicious beer. This is a German Helles style that is very hard to get right, and they nailed it.

It is the best beer I've ever had in my entire life, I would die for this beer. I don't know why I haven't had this beer in my life my whole life. I wish that hospitals had IVs of this beer.

Visited recently and tried Sunshine Kid, nice bright beer that's perfect for summer. Always a good time coming to hang out in the brewery or on the patio.

Maibock
The cask maibock during maifest was phenomenal, super smooth and rich flavor still while being extremely drinkable!
